In recognition of the contribution of IECED, Government of Kerala has made Dr. Jose Sebastian, Director a member of the committee constituted to analyse the issues which hamper the growth of the Commerce Sector in Kerala under the chairpersonship of Smt. Lida Jacob, Former Secretary to Government.

Dr. Jose Sebastian, Director has been nominated as a member of the State Level Advisory Committee of MSME-Development Institute, Thrissur under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India.

Talk By Shri T.T Sreekumar
On 29-07-2003 IECED organised a talk by Mr.T.T Sreekumar, Research Fellow of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, on the topic 'Hong Konginte Valarcha: Moolyangaludeyum Samskarathinteyum Swadheenam' (Growth of Hong Kong: The Influence of Values and Culture) at Press Club, Thiruvananthapuram.

The function was presided over by Shri. John Mathai IAS, Principal Secretary, Industries Department, Government of Kerala.
Responding to the talk, Mr.J Reghu and Dr. C.S Venkiteswaran also spoke.
